Sonu Sood starrer film “Xuanzang” China’s official entry to Oscars

Xuanzang is a  Chinese historical adventure film and has been selected as China’s official entry to Oscars. Intrestingly, the film stars a number of Indian actors including Sonu Sood and Neha Sharma. The film is based on monk Xuanzang’s seventeen-year overland journey to India. Sonu,who plays the role of King Harshavardhan in the movie, has been reported to have remarked that “Finally, there was someone who could envision India as something more than what Slumdog Millionaire showed. My mother was a history teacher and as a kid, I had learnt about the gracious King Harsha. But, playing the character was enthralling. ”

Sonu Sood has posted his above look from the movie on twitter and shared the news.

Sonu is also part of Indo-Chinese co-production “Kung Fu Yoga” starring Jackie Chan in the lead role.

The project is a part of the three-film agreement signed between India and China during Chinese President Xi Jinpings visit to India.
