Bengaluru-based Dynamatic Technologies has bagged a contract from France-based Airbus for manufacturing all the doors of its narrow-body Airbus A220 family of aircraft.
Bengaluru-based Dynamatic Technologies has recently secured a significant contract from Airbus, the renowned aircraft manufacturer based in France. Under the terms of the agreement, Dynamatic Technologies will be responsible for manufacturing all the doors for Airbus’ narrow-body A220 family of aircraft.
This contract is a testament to Dynamatic’s expertise and capabilities in the aerospace industry. The Bengaluru company has consistently demonstrated its commitment to delivering high-quality aviation components, and this deal further solidifies its position as a trusted partner for Airbus.
The collaboration between Dynamatic Technologies and Airbus is expected to enhance the production capacity of the A220 family, while also contributing to the growth of the Indian aerospace sector.
The development is seen as a significant step in the expansion of the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
For the unversed, Dynamatic Technologies, an Indian aviation parts maker, already manufactures the Flap Track Beam of Airbus A320 and A330 Family aircraft.
The deal was announced at a function on Thursday, which was also attended by Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Minister of State (MoS) Civil Aviation, Gen. VK Singh.
The financial details were yet to be disclosed.
According to the President of Airbus India, Remi Maillard, this is one of the single-largest export contracts for an Indian aerospace manufacturing company.
Dynamatic Technologies would deliver the first doors to Airbus early next year, a report by Reuters quoted the company’s CEO Udayant Malhoutra as saying.
The announcement of the deed sent Dynamatic’s shares to a record high of 7,780 rupees.
Notably, it is the second door contract awarded by Airbus to an Indian supplier.
In 2023, Airbus gave the contract for the manufacturing of bulk and cargo doors of the A320 family of aircraft to Tata Advanced Systems Ltd.
